March of Dimes Walk 2012

We had the best time at the March of Dimes walk this year in support of Team Aaron. We sure do love the Hill family and we were excited to help them out this year.

Who doesn't love a popsicle first thing in the morning.

Love this boy and that smile!

:)

These two. So silly!

Here we are almost 3 years later

I thought I would link up with Kelly's Korner today. Today's link are moms whom have lost children. I've never done one of these before but thought it would be a good opportunity to share some of our story.

We lost our little boy, Sullivan Phillip, on June 22, 2009 when I was 22 1/2 weeks pregnant. He was my
4th pregnancy and we had one little girl named Isabella who was 2 1/2 at the time. Both of my miscarriages before him were very early on. After losing him we found out I have Factor V Leiden, MTHFR, and PAI-1. We tried again to have another child and did everything we should have done to make sure the next baby would make it. Unfortunately, I had another miscarriage early on and then another one at 13 weeks. After this my husband and I really struggled with having another one. I knew if we did try again it would be the last time. Our hearts had been through too much and couldn't take much more. Amazingly enough the Lord answered our thoughts and prayers and blessed us one more time. On January 20, 2011 the Lord gave us John Paul who is now a healthy beautiful 15 month old as of today. We went through a lot to get to where we are but we serve an awesome God who answered the desires of our heart. We might have gone through a lot but God was in control and he carried us the entire way. Now almost three years later we still have bad days but we know that we will see our precious son one day!

Easter 2012

We had a great Easter. It was great to have Darren home and not working. We had a fabulous service at chruch and then went to the cemetary to put flowers on Sullivan's grave. We also changed the flowers on Mama Maye's and Papa's grave. Afterwards we moved onto my mom's house for lunch. I attempted to get more pictures but my little ones would have nothing of the sort. After being dressed up for so long, they were ready to get into some play clothes and play with their cousins.

Trinity's Easter Egg Hunt

This year Trinity changed their Easter celebration. They usually do a puppet show and an egg hunt. This year they had three set ups of the story of Jesus and what happened over Easter. It was fabulous! I hope next year they publicize it more and more people come. It was great for the little kids and adults.
Sorry my pictures are so horrible. I'm still using my cell phone as my camera.
The last scene with Mary at the tomb.

Pap and John Paul

Love these three listening so intently.

Sweet cousins

Aunt Amanda, Lauren, and Andrew

This was his idea of egg hunting.

I helped this sweet girl hunt eggs. She was great at it!

Below are several attempts at getting a picture of my little ones!

Good Friday Celebration

We celebrate Good Friday in the one of the best ways possible - with great friends and family and with teaching our kids the meaning of Good Friday. This was our 3rd annual Good Friday celebration. My mom gets better and better every year with new ideas and fun things for the kids to do.

We started off with Rescurrection buns. Marme did a great job reading the story of Jesus dying on the cross and then being placed in the tomb.

We then moved onto dying Easter eggs.

I'll remember next year that this little one on the right likes to put dye tablets in her mouth! ;)

Our resurrection buns are done. Jesus has risen and is no longer in the tomb!

Love these three Lewis boys!

Marme's new idea was planting flowers and decorating the pots. I didn't hear the story behind this. (I was out front hiding eggs.)

Time to hunt eggs!

(You can see Lauren's bow in the back. She's hiding)

Only these two can look at you this way.

My sweet babies

After pictures, we had a great lunch and moved onto free play. A few flappers and dancers appeared!

Sweet boy!

Pinelake Easter Party

We have such a busy weekend ahead I figured I would get on the ball and start my daily posting of all of our acitivites. Yesterday Isabella had her school Easter party at Abby's house. Thank goodness the weather cleared up just in time for the egg hunt. They had a great time!
