Two months old

John Paul,
I can't believe you are two months old already. You are the best baby. You are rarely fussy and if you are, something is wrong. You sleep like a champ. You aren't sleeping through the night yet but I'm working with you on that. You are starting to smile more. You smiled for your daddy yesterday and your Marme today. Of course, you smile at your mama all the time! :) You are still pretty serious like your sister was at this point but a real cuddle bug.
We are so blessed to have you! I can't thank God enough for blessing us with you.
We love you!

I have no idea why you are so mad right here.

Big boy!

I have to throw this in of your sister. She was zonked out on the way home from Marme and Pap's house today! Notice the sucker stuck to her right leg. There was no way she was going throw it away. She ate the rest of it when she woke up!

Our First Day

Monday was our first day at school and my first day back to work. :(
When I had Isabella, I was so ready to go back to work after 6 weeks and figured it would be the same with this one. Boy, was I wrong. It is much harder with two plus to even get out the door in a timely manner is a job. BUT we did great. Isabella stayed with Marme and Pap Sunday night so I just had John Paul to get ready Monday morning. Darren also went back to work Monday night but he was there on Monday morning to help if needed. He did end up helping a little bit but I tried to do it on my own since he wouldn't be there the rest of the week.

We all had a wonderful day with no tears shed for anyone. When I dropped JP off, I told the nursery lady that he was going to cry. She said, "I know." I very nicely replied back with a little more emphasis, "No, really. He is going to cry." Her reply, "Well, I'll just spank him then!" She then hugged me. I laughed and laughed over the initial shock of what she said kicked in. I knew she was picking at me and it sure helped my mood and made me laugh.

Daddy had him all tucked into the car seat ready to go!

First day back for the both of us! I have no idea why my eyes look funny other then I'm tired!

Just a few more things to throw in:
John Paul had his 6 wk checkup last Friday. He weighed 11 lbs and 3 oz and 22 1/2 inches long. Growing just as he should!

Our first bottle! Daddy was the first person to give both Isabella and John Paul their first bottle!

Talk about some cheeks! They are just like Isabella's were.

Belle's first bottle

My pretty flowers my daughter picked me from the backyard! So sweet!

The End of an Era

This past Saturday marked the end of an era at Mississippi State University. Such a sad day to hear Jack Cristal do his last broadcast for MSU athletics. I remember as a little girl always listening and how you could always find the game on the radio because you "knew" Jack Cristal's voice. I hate that Isabella and John Paul won't be able to know "that voice". It was great though that he ended his career on a win in basketball by MSU beating Tennessee. As Jack Cristal's always said, "You can wrap this one in maroon and white!"

The man himself

Hanging out on the blankets PawPaw got them.

Sweet siblings!

6 weeks old and we already have 2 MSU blankets. Raising him right!
