Swimming Lessions

I always thought Darren would teach Belle how to swim since he life guarded for years but after hearing about Alicia Lawrence I thought we should give it a try. It was a very smart decision I would recommend for anyone that lived in our area. We went for 2 sessions which was 4 weeks, 4 days a week for 45 minutes each time. Her main purpose was to teach the kid how to save themselves if they fell in the pool which I thought was great! I was worried after that first week though. Belle didn't seem to be learning anything and she was one of the last ones to go on "show" night. Well, the very next week, things turned around! She did great! By the end of the 4 weeks she was jumping off the diving board and swimming across the pool. She still asks to this day to go to swimming lessons. It is something we definitely will be doing every year!

Waiting on our turn the first week. I think they let the worst ones go last!

Yes, I paid $15 for those goggles that she ended up chewing to pieces by the end of the lessons!

Swimming buddies! Levi and Belle

I have tried for a week now to post the video of her swimming and I can't figure it out! Faith, Levi's mom, videoed Belle for me! I can't thank her enough. Darren had to work that night so he missed her jumping off the diving board. It made his night to get to see her! We are so very proud of her! She did a great job!

Don't you just love my new blog? I am super excited about it! Jennisa at Once Upon a Blog did a wonderful job!

I also need to give more credit out! The wonderful picture taken of the 3 of us was taken by Jeanelle Caraway. She does a wonderful job and I need to give her credit for the great picture! This was taken only 1 1/2 months after losing Sullivan and she had us laughing!! I LOVE how all three of us are laughing!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sweet Lauren!

Lauren (Al's youngest) turned two on June 12th! It is such a wonderful day since we got married the same day! ;) She had an Elmo themed party at the park! It was great but HOT!! It was also the fastest party Al and Amanda have ever put on since we thought there was a storm coming. If anyone of you know my brother and SIL, they aren't the quickest folks around!!

She looks just like Al did when he was younger!

Opening presents! I think Andrew was more excited then she was!

Best cousins! Her face was so red b/c it was so hot!

My 3 favorite people in the entire world! Love them dearly!

Gardening 101

It has been years now since Darren and I had a garden. We use to have one every spring/summer before Belle came around and since then we just haven't taken the time to do it. Well, this year I was determined to have one. I thought it was the perfect time to show her how to plant seeds, water them, and watch them grow. It was definitely a good plan but things didn't turn out as well as I planned. I had great intentions but our busy daily schedules took over.

I do have plants still alive and they are still growing but very very slowly. I have several tomato, squash, watermelon, cucumber, and bell pepper plants left but not a thing on them! Darren says I planted too late which is fine. I'll do better next year!

I bought this little starter kit at Walmart to help me get started. I thought it was great!

Now they are ready to start growing!

These two pictures are the only times these two were helping!!!

Sorry, I'm not going to show you the finished product! You would all laugh at me!

Raining days with BFFs!

These pictures of these babies make me smile! They all have so much fun together and LOVE playing! Especially in the rain!
We started the day off by watching Taylor play T-ball and then meet up at Mazzio's for lunch. Just me, Mel, and 4 kids under 5! It was great!
After lunch Mel took my car with Taylor because she had to run some errands and it is much easier to take my car instead of the Tahoo. I loaded up Belle, Noah, and Luke in the Tahoo and we headed to their house.
As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I heard Belle say she wanted to listen to the CD. This is an occurance that happens EVERY time she gets in the car. She never wants to listen to Klove but always the CEDARMONT kids CD. Well, I replied that I wasn't sure if Aunt Mel had a CD in her car so we would listen to KLove. From the very back of the Tahoo, I watched Noah lean over to Belle and say, "You have KLove in your car too?" It was the sweetest thing ever. They are just precious!

This picture was earlier in the morning at Taylor's ballgame! Love that blue mouth!

I have no idea what they are looking at!
