Family Visits

A few weeks ago my brother, Brent, his wife, and little girl, Rosemary came for a visit. Everyone came over to our house Saturday night for our own little crawfish boil. The boys at first requested that Darren cook them steaks but since he was working, they left me or one of them and it was just too much trouble. I hadn't had crawfish this year so once I checked with everyone and they agreed I went and got it! We enjoyed it so much! We also had a lot of fun visiting and catching up.

I realized at the last moment I didn't have any newspaper so we tore up an old Southern living magazine!

She isn't quite sure about it! She tried it but spit it right back out! Yes, Andrew does have a life vest on. I have no idea why!

The only thing left after 10 lbs of crawfish, 2 lbs of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and bread!

Just hanging out!

Dessert-Grandma's Chocolate Cobbler! It was so yummy especially with vanilla ice cream on top!

Gymnastics Recital 2010

Belle has been taking gymnastics through the school since the beginning of the school year. She goes once a week for 30-45 mins. Over the last several months Darren and I have wondered what she was learning and what our $40 a month was going towards. Every time we asked her to show us all she did was a forward roll. Needless to say when the teacher said they would be having a little recital we were going to be there.
It was hilarious! There are 5 in a class and one of the little guys is one of her partners in crime. Needless to say, they acted up during the recital but they all showed us what they had been learning. I was impressed! I honestly couldn't teach 5 3yr olds gymnastics!

Of course, the forward roll we have been watching for months now.

Do you see my champion here on the beam? You know I was 3rd in the State one year in beam!

Mother's Day 2010

I really wasn't expecting Mother's day to be difficult but it really was. I held up really good all morning but by the time the afternoon came, I just lost it. We had a busy weekend and being tired just added to my emotional stability(ha!). Darren, Belle, and I made a trip to the cemetary and on the way out there we called my MIL to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. I asked her if she was having a good day and if she was doing what she wanted to do all day. Her reply was, "Yes, I got up and told Paul I wanted to go to Clinton to Sullivan's grave, so that is what we did." When we got out there she and my FIL had left a dozen yellow roses on his grave. That was one of the most precious things anyone has done for our son. It just made my heart swell to know that someone else misses him as much as we do.

The day got even better as we headed to my mom's to eat and visit with everyone. We had a GRAND time and the grandchildren had a BLAST playing with each other!

Two of my favorite people eating at Mazzio's after church.

Is she not the cutest thing ever! Love cousin Rosemary!

All we are missing is Marion :(

Last Easter Post....I promise

I know this has taken me forever to post all the pictures I took during the Easter holidays but this is the last post.

The Easter bunny came!

Her favorite thing....the pink fishing pole!

Darren was working so Belle and I headed to Magee after church Easter morning. These two pictures are the only ones I have of us all dressed up!
