Life is much easier now!

Well, the dog is gone. She had to go. I wrote an email to the original owner weeks ago after she had done something wrong AGAIN (she did so many things, it is hard to remember which time it was) but Darren asked me not to send it. So, I saved it. Good thing I did. Sunday, after church and lunch, Isabella and I came home later then Darren and all Darren said was, "Did you hold onto that email about the dog?" I sure did, Honey! What did she do now?
Well, years ago when my sister got married in Indiana, Darren brought home a tree. Don't ask me what kind but he has babied this "tree" for years now and the dog chewed some the ends of it up. Oh, he was so mad!!!
I hated to send the email but the dog had to go. We tried for almost 2 months to get her to calm down and tried tactic after tactic but nothing worked. So, I emailed the previous owner on Sunday that we just couldn't keep the dog. We didn't want our money back but wanted her to go somewhere where she would have room to run. Long story short.......he finally emailed me back on Monday and she was gone by Wednesday. He had a friend who raises bird dogs in Amory and he wanted her. When I talked to him, he said she sounded like the perfect dog for him! I bet! A free German Shorthair Pointer! No kidding! Now the dog can run and chase birds and be free as a lark! I really think and pray she will be happier!

PS Praise the Lord! Isabella has only said her name one time. She hasn't asked yet where her Belle was? At least she is two and doesn't realize we took her first dog away. Oh well, we have plenty of time for that and with another one on the way, I need all the normalcy I can get!!!

And then there were six........

Yes, it is officially, we are having another baby and it isn't the four legged kind. We have known for several weeks now but after two miscarriages we wanted to wait until we saw a heartbeat and saw Dr. Etheridge before we said anything. We are so absolutely excited!!! A little nervous but excited. I am 9 weeks!!!
I was emailing a good friend the other day who had asked how I was feeling. I felt fine with Isabella and expected to feel this same this time. I think this time around things are different though. I know this might sound funny to you but I feel old. Yes, old. I guess you could say I am tired but I call it old. I know I am not "old" but if this is what it feels like, then I am. Along with some nausea, upset stomach, ha.......ugh!!!! Not fun!
We are really excited though! Isabella points to her belly and says "baby"! So sweet! When you ask her if she wants a sister or brother, she does say "Sisa". Whether it is a boy or girl, Isabella will definitely want to be in charge of her!!!
Can't wait to keep everyone updated!!!!

Gone........

These are pictures of my grandparents house. This past Friday afternoon we got a call that there was a house burning at the corner of Springridge and Big Creak. Although there is only one other house right there, we weren't sure if it was theirs or not. Not 10 minutes later, Al called to say it was their house and they were okay. Both of my grandparents and my uncle that live with them were there and got out safely. Praise the Lord!
We are so very thankful they are okay. Many of you know my Nana is my heart. Isabella is her namesake and I couldn't imagine my life without her. I am so blessed to have her still with me and for her to watch little Isabella grow up. The sad thing. The majority of everything in that house was from England. China, crystal, sterling silver, antiques shipped from England 60 years ago when my grandmother came over from England. All of it gone. When I got married, I picked her same crystal pattern because one day I knew I would inherit it. I was also getting ready to buy a bedroom suite from her for Isabella to grow up with. It absolutely breaks my heart to not only have this stuff but not have Isabella see our family's heritage. Of course, every single time I think of these worldly things the Lord reminds me I still have my grandparents because this could have been more devastating. We very easily could have lost them.
Please pray for them. At 87 and 83, this was their home of 40 plus years with 60 plus years of life in it. Everyday the plans change of what they will do. They are at my mama's house now who is doing a WONDERFUL job of dealing with them. She is so much stronger then I am and handles them very well. They both aren't very easy going. Please pray for her also. They all need strength plus to know the Lord's will for them.

This is the view from the back door of the house looking into the living room.

This is my Nana's room. Of all the rooms, her's had the least damage. We were able to find a few family heirlooms. You can see her chair that was Mama Maye's. When I lost her I gave it to Nana to use. Now it is gone.

From the outside into Nana's room that was her closet.
